2025 Home Trend Predictions: Kitchens, Bathrooms, and Paint Colors
2025 Home Trend Predictions: Kitchens, Bathrooms, and Paint Colors
As 2025 approaches, home design is evolving to reflect a balance of personal expression, modern functionality, and timeless comfort. At Callaway Homes, we’re excited to share our predictions for the key trends that will shape kitchens, bathrooms, and overall home styles in the coming year. Our lead designer, Misty Callaway, and our contractor, Bryce Callaway, provide insights on what’s expected to be popular—and why.
Kitchen Trends: Minimalism with a Personal Touch
Kitchens in 2025 will feature sleek, minimalist designs with personalized elements that make them feel inviting.
“People moving to the Nashville area from places with more modern home aesthetics are wanting to bring that into their remodels here so it feels like home to them,” explains Misty Callaway. “But I also encourage clients, especially those remodeling homes like 1990s colonials, to embrace the style these homes were originally designed with. Leaning into the traditional or even ornate styles—such as raised panel cabinet doors or wainscoting wall trim—can add charm and character.”
Flat-front cabinets with hidden handles or push-to-open systems in bold, matte finishes like charcoal, navy, or forest green will be popular, complemented by natural wood accents and open shelving for balance. Natural materials like stone countertops and backsplashes will continue to be favored for their durability and aesthetic appeal.
Bryce Callaway, our contractor, notes the growing role of technology in kitchens. “People want smart solutions that enhance everyday convenience, like Wi-Fi-enabled appliances and touchless faucets. But it’s also about creating an efficient, comfortable space where family and friends naturally gather.”
Large islands for additional seating, open layouts, and ambient lighting—such as hidden LED strips—will be integral to kitchen design.
Bathroom Trends: Serenity and Spa-like Features
Bathrooms in 2025 will continue to embrace spa-inspired features, with a focus on serene aesthetics and practical luxury.
“Large-format tiles are going to be a huge trend next year, especially in soft textures and organic patterns,” says Misty Callaway. Neutral palettes—think sandy beiges, warm grays, and soft whites—will dominate, enhanced by matte black or brushed gold fixtures. Walk-in showers with rain showerheads and freestanding tubs will create a luxurious, serene feel.
Storage remains a priority. “Homeowners want sleek, functional bathrooms where storage is hidden,” says Bryce Callaway. Custom vanities with built-in shelves or drawers, along with minimalist cabinetry, will help create a clutter-free space. Radiant floor heating and smart mirrors with built-in lighting and defogging features will continue to add both practicality and comfort.
Overall Paint Colors and Styles: A Return to Nature with a Modern Twist
In terms of color palettes, 2025 will embrace natural, earthy hues that bring a sense of calm and connection to the home. From soft greens and warm terracottas to rich blues and muted golds, the focus will be on colors that create peaceful, grounding environments.
“Homeowners are starting to move away from all-white interiors and are adding depth and warmth through color,” says Misty Callaway. Accent walls, painted ceilings, and bold-colored cabinetry will be popular ways to introduce personality. Earthy tones such as sage, clay, and soft mustard pair beautifully with natural wood and stone textures, creating a harmonious and grounded feel.
“People want homes that feel lived-in and natural,” adds Misty. “Matte finishes and tactile textures—like limewash or plaster—will continue to trend because they add dimension and character to walls without overwhelming a space.”
Looking Ahead: A Focus on Simplicity, Warmth, and Personal Style
The home trends of 2025 are about creating spaces that feel both personal and functional, with a thoughtful blend of modern convenience and timeless design. Whether it’s a sleek, tech-enhanced kitchen or a tranquil, spa-like bathroom, the goal is to design homes that meet everyday needs while reflecting each homeowner’s unique style.
At Callaway Homes, we look forward to bringing these trends to life. With Misty’s design expertise and Bryce’s attention to craftsmanship, we’re ready to help homeowners create beautiful, enduring spaces in the coming year. If you’re considering a renovation, we’d love to help you explore the possibilities for your home.
